Sunrise Majesty looks across Hole 18 of Kapalua's Plantation Course as the first light begins to define the property.
Molokaʻi sits along the distant horizon while fairway, vegetation and the clubhouse create several distinct layers through the middle of the frame.
The panoramic composition gives those relationships room to develop.
Rather than treating Hole 18 as an isolated golf subject, Lance uses the broader field to place the course inside northwest Maui's larger geography.
That is a recurring idea throughout his Kapalua body of work.
