Copyright + Image Use

Maui Fine Art Collective (“MFAC”) respects the intellectual-property rights of its Artists and asks visitors, collectors, designers, media, and partners to do the same.

The Artist keeps copyright

Unless a separate signed writing expressly transfers rights, the Artist retains copyright and other intellectual-property rights in the Artwork. Buying an Original, edition, print, or other physical Artwork gives the collector ownership of that physical object. It does not transfer copyright, reproduction rights, commercial image rights, or the right to create derivative works.

Artwork images on this site

Artwork images are displayed by MFAC under rights granted by the Artist or other rights holder. Images, details, installation views, videos, text, graphics, and other site content may not be copied, downloaded, printed, reproduced, altered, sold, licensed, distributed, or used commercially without permission from the applicable rights holder, except as allowed by law.

Sharing an artwork

You are welcome to share a link to an MFAC artwork, Artist page, Story, or other public page. Where MFAC provides a built-in share function, use of that function is permitted for personal, non-commercial sharing. Do not remove attribution, crop out a visible credit for the purpose of misrepresenting authorship, or download a high-resolution artwork image for reuse.

Press, editorial, commercial, and design use

For press, editorial publication, books, advertising, commercial websites, product use, hospitality marketing, design presentations that will be published, or other reproduction beyond ordinary personal sharing, contact aloha@mauifineartcollective.com. MFAC will coordinate the appropriate Artist or rights-holder permission and, where applicable, image files, captions, credits, fees, or license terms.

Collector and designer installation photography

Purchasing Artwork does not give MFAC automatic permission to publish photographs of a collector’s home, project, client, or installed Artwork. MFAC may ask for separate permission to photograph or publish an installation. If permission is granted, the scope of use may be documented in an email, release, project agreement, or other written approval. Declining marketing permission does not affect the collector’s purchase or ordinary MFAC customer service.

Reviews and submitted content

If you intentionally submit a review, testimonial, photograph, or other content for public display through an MFAC review or submission feature, the applicable Terms of Service govern MFAC’s right to display and promote that submitted content. Private room photographs or project material supplied solely for advisory or visualization are treated differently under the Privacy Policy and are not published without separate permission.

Automated copying and AI use

Except as permitted by law or authorized in writing by the applicable rights holder, do not use automated tools to extract, reproduce, or build datasets from protected high-resolution Artwork images or other MFAC content for commercial redistribution, creation of derivative commercial products, or training or fine-tuning a generative model. Ordinary search-engine indexing and linking that respects MFAC’s technical access controls and applicable law is not prohibited by this statement.

MFAC name and branding

Maui Fine Art Collective, MFAC branding, logos, page design, and related brand assets may not be used to imply endorsement, partnership, representation, or affiliation without written permission.

Copyright concerns

If you believe content on the MFAC website infringes a right you own or control, email aloha@mauifineartcollective.com with enough information to identify the work, the material at issue, your relationship to the rights, and how MFAC can contact you. MFAC will review the request and take appropriate action.
