We love to venture off the beaten path as well! Let's create something truly inspiring together.

Let the adventure begin...

Na Ala Hele sits at the center of Lance's architectural-scale panoramic practice.

The photograph looks across the deeply folded terrain of Waiheʻe Ridge, but the intent was never simply to make an exceptionally wide mountain image.

Lance wanted to build a photographic field containing enough information to support a very different physical experience.

From across a room, the ridge system resolves into one large composition—mountain forms, valleys, cloud, coastline and distance held together at once.

As the viewer approaches, that unity begins to break apart.

Smaller ridges emerge. Vegetation patterns become visible. Drainage lines, rock faces and distant structures begin separating from the broader forms.

That changing relationship with viewing distance is part of the work itself.

Na Ala Hele is therefore best understood at architectural scale rather than as a conventional photograph simply offered in larger sizes.

The source file was built to support enlargement while retaining information throughout the field, allowing the collector to move physically through different levels of the photograph.

Presented as a limited edition of 10, each acquisition should be considered in direct relationship to the wall and architecture where the work will live.

Na Ala Hele

Na Ala Hele builds the scale of Waiheʻe Ridge from an extremely high-resolution panoramic field, designed so the mountain remains one composition from a distance and reveals new terrain as the viewer approaches.
