Golden Hour Glory focuses more tightly on the green at Hole 18 of Kapalua's Plantation Course.
The flag becomes the immediate visual anchor.
Around it, bunkers and contours of the green establish the designed geometry of the hole while evening light and distant Molokaʻi keep the photograph connected to the larger landscape.
This is one of Lance's Kapalua images where a relatively small course element provides scale for everything around it.
The eye can begin with the flag, move through the maintained course, then continue outward into ocean, cloud and island.
That movement between near and far is particularly effective in a larger print.
The source file preserves course and landscape information across those distances, allowing the final work to retain both the immediate precision of the green and the broader atmosphere surrounding it.
