I had a vision for this painting in a still dream. The waves rolled in slow motion. I was inspired by a vision. Then this vision became a painting. I started with the palm trees on the right, then putting trees on the left. In the center the Wave came. The moon appeared last. Kekaʻa (Maui): Located in West Maui (near Black Rock in Kāʻanapali), Kekaʻa is another major leina a ka ʻuhane where souls leap off the lava promontory into the realm beyond.
